The 2027 calendar printing order window and the cut-off date

Why the printer's date and your date are different

Calendar printing pages often show one "order by" date in a bold banner. That date covers the whole chain, and the button is only the first link.

When a buyer says "we need them by mid-December", they are counting backwards from a hand-out date: the annual dinner, the last client visit before the break, the week the sales team goes out with gifts. The printer counts forwards from a different day, the one when your logo file is approved. Between those two days sit proofs, sign-offs, payment, printing, finishing and a courier. The Three Clocks: approval, press and handover

We use a simple model when we plan a calendar order with a company. We call it the Three Clocks, and each clock belongs to a different person.

The approval clock is yours. It starts when you choose a design and ends when your logo placement is signed off on the mockup. Nothing is printed until it stops. Gifthxs sends a free online proof, usually within one working day, and three rounds of design revisions are included.

The press clock is ours. Our table calendars take 21 working days after logo approval, a calendar printing lead time that differs from our money packets. Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays do not count toward it, so a public holiday inside the window moves your delivery later. In November and December that distinction costs you time.

The handover clock is shared. Once the calendars are dispatched, delivery takes 1 to 3 business days. Within West Malaysia, delivery is free and already inside the per-set price.

The mockup is where we see the approval clock run. Every mockup we send is checked against the same question: where does the logo sit for this design? On the two wheel designs it is the front cover only, and on the two monthly-page designs it is every month. We send it, and the press clock stays stopped until someone signs. An approval that sits for a week moves the dispatch date by a week.

What you are ordering, and the numbers that set the clock

The window above applies to table calendars. Money packets are a different product with a different lead time of 10 to 14 working days from artwork approval. Mixing the two up is an easy planning error, so keep them on separate lines of your spreadsheet.

There are four designs in the 2027 table calendar range. Captured in Time and Malaysian Festive Wheel are die-cut turning wheels on 350gsm art card, and the logo goes on the front cover only. Journey Across Spaces (A5 landscape, 21cm x 14.8cm, Wire-O bound) and Seasons In Bloom (22cm x 20.5cm) have monthly pages, so the logo sits on every month. Each design is its own order, and the minimum is 300 sets per design. You cannot split a 300-set minimum across two designs.

At 300 sets the two wheel designs cost RM 11.70 per set, and Journey Across Spaces and Seasons In Bloom cost RM 16.90 per set. The per-set price falls as the quantity rises. Order 300 and you get 50 extra free, 350 in total. Order 500 and you get 50 extra, 550 in total. Order 1,000 and the extra is 100, so 1,100 in total.

The cut-off is the last day that all four of your own rows can finish and still leave 21 working days plus delivery before your hand-out date. In practice that means placing the order in November 2026 for December delivery. We do not guarantee a delivery date in peak season, and we would rather say so than promise one and miss it.

Two cases sit outside this window. East Malaysia delivery (Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan) and orders above 2,000 sets both go through a custom order, quoted by Gifthxs by location and quantity. When you ask, send the delivery location, the quantity and the design you want. Rush orders are available on request with no standard rush fee; ask before you plan around one.

What eats the window

Most of the time on a 2027 calendar order goes in the quiet middle, where a mockup sits in somebody's inbox.

The marketing team approves the placement but the finance director wants to see it too. Payment waits for a purchase order that waits for a cost centre. Nothing is wrong, but each of these can cost several working days.

Some of that you can remove before you start. Decide in advance who signs the mockup, and name a back-up. Find the vector logo now. If you want company dates in the calendar grid, such as campaign launches or anniversaries, list them early, because that option exists only on the two designs with monthly pages. The proof confirms logo placement. Colour works differently: printing allows up to 5% deviation from the digital proof, and Pantone printing is available for an extra cost if an exact brand colour matters to you. If it does, say so before you approve the mockup.

How 2027 festivals change the order of your year

Calendars and festive packets compete for the same people's attention in the same few months. Chinese New Year 2027 falls on Saturday 6 February 2027. Hari Raya Aidilfitri is expected around Wednesday 10 March 2027, which is an estimate until the official gazette. That is 32 days between them, about four and a half weeks.

If you also plan CNY money packets, artwork should be confirmed between 12 and 26 December 2026, and packets take 10 to 14 working days from approval. For Hari Raya, the equivalent window is 13 to 27 January 2027. You can check the public holiday dates on OfficeHolidays and timeanddate.
