Desk calendar sizes and what fits on a real desk

A desk calendar and a table calendar are the same object, and Gifthxs offers four designs of it for custom desk calendar printing. Journey Across Spaces measures 21cm x 14.8cm and Seasons In Bloom measures 22cm x 20.5cm. Check the size against your recipients' desks before you order 300 sets or more of one design.

Some buyers search for a desk calendar. Printers usually quote it as a table calendar. Either word works. What matters for your order is whether the calendar fits on a shared desk.

Our calendar printing Malaysia page has the full range and the ordering steps.

Desk calendar and table calendar mean the same thing

Both names mean a free-standing calendar with a base, meant to sit on a surface and be read from the front. A wall calendar hangs and a planner lies flat. A desk calendar stands on its own base.

The only calendars Gifthxs sells are table calendars. There is no wall calendar in our range, so if you need one, we are not the right supplier for that part of your list. For the wider picture of desk, table and wall formats, our post on custom made calendars for Malaysian offices compares them.

Sizes for custom desk calendar printing

Two of the four desk calendar sizes are published. Captured in Time and Malaysian Festive Wheel are die-cut turning wheels, and we have not written down their dimensions for the public, so ask on WhatsApp before you commit.

Design Code Size Format Logo goes on
Captured in Time CA001JY Ask us Turning wheel, die-cut Front cover only
Malaysian Festive Wheel CA002EZ Ask us Turning wheel, die-cut Front cover only
Journey Across Spaces CA003ZY 21cm x 14.8cm, A5 landscape Monthly pages Every monthly page
Seasons In Bloom CA004YJ 22cm x 20.5cm Monthly pages Every monthly page

The A5 landscape size of Journey Across Spaces follows the ISO paper system, where A5 is 148mm x 210mm in portrait. Turned on its side, that is the 21cm x 14.8cm we quote.

Seasons In Bloom is nearly square, so it stands taller than Journey Across Spaces.

What we can say about the stands

A Journey Across Spaces table calendar standing on a desk beside a laptop

Captured in Time and Malaysian Festive Wheel are printed on 350gsm art card. The stand is two pieces of 350gsm art card, glued. The wheel is screw-bound, and you turn it to the current month.

For the stand construction on Journey Across Spaces and Seasons In Bloom, and for the base footprint of any design, ask us on WhatsApp before you order.

The Desk Test: footprint, turn, face

Three questions settle whether a size works.

Footprint. Ask us for the base measurements of your chosen design, then cut a piece of card to that size and put it on the desk of the person you are gifting. If it covers the space beside the keyboard or the phone charger, it is likely to be moved.

Turn. Leave room to reach the wheel or the pages.

Face. The date grid should be legible at arm's length. Seasons In Bloom is nearly square and Journey Across Spaces is A5 landscape, so hold up a printout of each face size and see which one reads better from your own seat.

Run this test on three real desks in your own office before choosing. A procurement manager's desk and a sales rep's hot desk give different answers.

What goes on the calendar, and where

On Captured in Time and Malaysian Festive Wheel, which are turning wheels with no monthly pages, the logo sits on the front cover only. On Journey Across Spaces and Seasons In Bloom, it goes on every monthly page. A mockup comes to you for approval before printing. It shows where the logo sits. Check every date on it yourself, because we print what you approve.

The two monthly-page designs also let you set custom company dates into the grid, such as a campaign launch, an anniversary or a company holiday. Public holidays vary by state. The 2027 holiday list includes federal days that every state observes and state days that only some do. Decide which set your recipients need before you send dates to be printed, and send the final list in one go so the mockup shows all of it.

The wheel designs do not carry custom dates, so a campaign launch or an anniversary belongs on one of the monthly-page designs. Our post on logo placement on a corporate calendar that people do not hate goes further on where the mark should sit.

Quantities, prices and what 300 sets means

Every design has a minimum of 300 sets, and designs cannot be mixed within that 300. If you want two designs, that is two separate orders of at least 300 each.

Pricing is per design. Captured in Time and Malaysian Festive Wheel cost RM 11.70 a set at 300 sets, falling to RM 4.10 at 2,000. Journey Across Spaces and Seasons In Bloom cost RM 16.90 a set at 300 sets. At 2,000 sets they fall to RM 6.20 and RM 5.90. West Malaysia delivery is included in those prices.

Ordering also earns free extra calendars. Order 300 calendars, get 50 extra free, 350 in total. Order 500, get 50 extra free, 550 in total. Order 1,000, get 100 extra free, 1,100 in total. Orders above 2,000 sets and anything going to East Malaysia go through a custom order, which we quote.

If you have 320 people to cover, order 300 and get 50 extra free, 350 in total. That covers everyone.

Choosing between 300 and 500 sets

The 500-set price per set is lower, and the free extra stays at 50. For Journey Across Spaces, 300 sets come to RM 5,070 and 500 sets come to RM 5,950. That is RM 880 more for 200 more sets, and you receive 550 calendars instead of 350. Seasons In Bloom has the same totals at those two quantities. For Captured in Time and Malaysian Festive Wheel, the per-set price falls from RM 11.70 to RM 7.71, so 500 sets come to RM 3,855 against RM 3,510 for 300.

The jump to 1,000 sets is bigger. Journey Across Spaces is RM 7.90 a set there, RM 7,900 in total, and Seasons In Bloom is RM 7.20 a set, RM 7,200 in total, with 100 extra free on top. If you are gifting to clients and staff in the same year, count both lists before you settle on a tier.

Timing: 21 working days starts at logo approval

Table calendars take 21 working days after logo approval. Count working days. Public holidays inside the window push delivery out. Order by November 2026 for December delivery. Peak season is busy, so earlier is safer.

Read a buyer's checklist before you sign off calendar artwork before you reply yes to a mockup. For the cut-off date itself, see the 2027 calendar printing order window and the cut-off date.

Choosing your custom desk calendar

If you want your logo on every month, Journey Across Spaces or Seasons In Bloom is the better fit, because the logo appears on every monthly page. If you want a festive cover as the main event, Malaysian Festive Wheel does that.

A calendar that stays on the desk carries your thanks into every month of the year.

Before you order custom desk calendar printing, measure the desk first, ask us for the wheel dimensions or base footprint if you need them, and check every date on the mockup yourself.
